The only thing that rates higher at Mambo than complimentary tickets and beer sponsorship for our Friday afternoon drinks is having insanely beautiful women drop into the studio to design a swimwear range.
This week, top Australian model, Jessica Gomes joined our crusade to take Mambo to the world. Her arrival brings to three, with current Ambassadors, Cheyenne Tozzi and Erin McNaught, the number of insanely beautiful women lending their personality and design talents to launch Mambo’s Goddess range on the international stage.
Jessica, a 5 times featured model in the coveted US Sports Illustrated Swimwear edition will team up with True Blood star, Ryan Kwanten and Cheyenne to spearhead Mambo’s push into Asia and the United States. She has also been collaborating with in-house designers to create a signature swimwear range which she plans to launch next year in South Korea where she has developed a cult status through both her modeling work there and her appearance on Asia’s version of Dancing With The Stars.
Later this week Jess flies out to New York with a suitcase full of her own creations to commence shooting the new Goddess campaign.
And to think, a couple of years ago we would have taken the receptionist out to the carpark, moved a couple of 44 gallon drums, spread some astro turf and shot the entire Goddess campaign there. It’s a whole new ball game.
We don’t usually flag flattering press because the next thing we know the art department’s banging on the door wanting to know why they’re still being paid in ‘t-shirts’ and when they can expect their 2008 Christmas bonus. But on this occasion we’ve decided that recent kind words from The Financial Review might put a smile on the face of our long suffering bank manager?
Thought we’d share some recent video footage, sent to us from the Mother Country by all-round Mambo star, Luke Cheadle. Euro surf has been rubbish all summer but Luke’s not a boy to raise a white flag until first weighing up his options and then squeezing another couple of $s out of the Mambo Pension Fund. Cue video: after half an hour of buggerizing around in fairly typical Newquay slop, our golden haired boy towels off and heads into town, looking for adventure. Festival noise by Fat Boy Slim.
