JAY QUINN, MAMBO BROTHER-IN-LAW #1
While at Margaret River last week where he was competing in the Drug Aware Pro, Mambo surfer, Luke Cheadle dragged fellow combatant and brother-in-law, Jay Quinn out of the bed they were sharing at the Mambo team house (strictly head to toe!) for a bit of quality air time. In fact, that should read, “brother-in-Lord” following Quinn’s second placing in the recent O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Scotland.

NRL superstar (not just our opinion), Benji Marshall has joined us to become a Mambo Brand Ambassador, or for the sake of Twitter, ‘Mambassador’. For those of you who have only just been born or who, for the past 10 years have been living in a yurt in the Uzbek province of Jizzax and have not previously been aware this uniquely talented athlete, Benji plays ‘outside half’ with the Wests Tigers rugby league team. He is also a Kiwi International. When he eventually hangs up his boots, Benji will be regarded as one of the greatest ever players of the venerable game of League. Now, we’re not saying that Benji has kicked up another gear since arriving at Mambo but if you wish to credit his current sparkling form to the fact the pressure’s off now that he’s got his wardrobe sorted, then who are we to argue?

MAMBO vs THE MARGARET RIVER PRO
Just back from the Mambo co-sponsored, Margaret River Pro at Margaret River and the curtains here at the Mambo ‘recovery centre’ are pulled tight with the stereo playing soothing whale-song, and head-massaging medications being muled in by the local chemist. With seven days of surf and party, there’s a steep price to pay.
