Kelly Smith

•Home: East coast of Tasmania - where it’s almost always occasionally sunny and warm when its not glacial, black ice, lips-stuck-to-metal-down-pipe, freezing cold.

•Art ed: Tasmanian School of Art in 2006. Majored in photography and graphic design, mostly pretty girls in grey scale with colourfully washed clothing.

•Published: Vogue Australia, Curvy, Semi Permanent, Monster Children, Yen and Shop Til You Drop.

•Likes: Chocolate and vodka – though not together; most things French; donuts with holes; and having my invoices paid on time (and not with those over-size cardboard cheques that are presented to the winners of television games shows).

•Dislikes: Birds, which I used to like (I once named a website after them) but not since moving to the coast where they are bigger, more aggressive, fly in gangs and sneer at anything less than meal size, gourmet quality scraps.

•Anything else: I’d like to be friends with Gemma Ward, Marion Cotillard, Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman. Not that I’m unhappy with my current group of friends.

•In the future: The usual; a fair, more equitable distribution of wealth, a healthier planet, more comps and my art on more clothes, more walls, in more books and on the side of more buses, etc.
